About Us

Why We Exist
“Reaching Up, Reaching Out”1

  • Our purpose as a church is to reach out with God’s love to the hurt, needy and unchurched in our community, (Isaiah 58:6-8) so that:
  • The lost can be brought to a saving relationship with God through Jesus Christ; (John 14:6)
  • Broken hearts and lives can be healed and restored; (Isaiah 61:1)
  • People can discover God’s plan and purpose for their lives; (Jeremiah 29:11-13)
  • Individuals can be equipped and mobilized through teaching and training to fulfill God’s plan for their lives. (Ephesians 4:11-13)

What We Believe
  • The Bible is the inspired1 authoritative word of God. (2 Peter 1:19-21)
  • God exists as Father, Son and Holy Spirit, distinct, but One. (Matthew 3:16-17, 1 Corinthians 15: 3b-4)
  • Jesus Christ is God the Son,(John 1:1,14) the only mediator between God and Man. (1 timothy 2:5)
  • The death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ is God’s plan for our redemption from sin. 7
  • Salvation comes only through faith in Jesus Christ. 8,9
  • The Holy Spirit indwells all believers. 10,11
  • Water baptism is a declaration of our unity in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. 12,13
  • The baptism of the Holy Spirit is for all believers. 14,15
  • The Church is the body of Christ16 with Christ as the Head. 17
  • Jesus Christ has given the Church authority over all the power of Satan and the kingdom of darkness. 18,19
  • Christ literally will come again20 and establish His rule on earth. 21

1. II Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.
2. II Peter 1:19-21 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the daystar arise in your hearts: Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
3. Matthew 3:16-17 And Jesus, when He was baptized, went up straightway out of the water and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon Him.
4. II Corinthians 13:14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.
5. John 1:1,14 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father), full of grace and truth.
6. I Timothy 2:5: For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.
7. I Corinthians 15:3b-4 …Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.
8. Ephesians 2:8-10 For by grace are ye saved through faith: and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
9. Romans 10:9-11 That if thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thine heart that God has raised him from the dead, thou shall be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, whosoever believes on him shall not be ashamed.
10. John 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it sees him not, neither knoweth him but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
11. Romans 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
12. Acts 22:16 ‘…And what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized and wash your sins away, calling on his name.’
13. Romans 6:3-5 Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We are therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. If we have been united with him in his death, we will certainly also be united with him in his resurrection.
14. Acts 2:38-39 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you; and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
15. Matthew 3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire.
16. I Corinthians 12:12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.
17. Ephesians 5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the savior of the body.
18. Luke 10:19-20 “…I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”
19. Mark 16:17-18 “…And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands, and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”
20. Acts 1:10-11 And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, ‘Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
21. Revelations 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.

- Ministers healing and restoration to individuals and families;
- Provides continuing support, encouragement and instruction for those who are committed to the discipleship of Jesus Christ;
- Helps believers discover their gifts and callings, and provides opportunity for release of such;
- Trains and encourages the next generation to build upon their Christian heritage;
